A New Moon in Aries is a perfect time to plant new seeds; to take new action and watch it all grow in amazement! Happy Birthday! The world comes alive and rejoices with your innocent yet proactive, confident, assertive and dynamic nature to pioneer new projects. I Love you and I cheer you on!
We have a New Moon in Aries tightly holding hands with the Sun also in Aries in an exact conjunction (both 15 degrees and 17 minutes), as it is at any New Moon. As mentioned above, a New Moon is a time to plant new seeds of intentions so that we can reap those benefits at the Full Moon. Aries ruled by the planet Mars is especially a good time to commit to personal goals that uplift us and give us the energy to follow through on our impulses.
Functional Aries wants us to act assertively and confidently, as this way we can begin to tap into our own personal courage.
This New Moon and Sun are making a powerful square (discord, strain) to a stellium (three or more planets side-by-side) to Saturn, the South Node and Pluto all in Capricorn.
What can this powerful square mean on a personal and global level? I am sure that it means many things that are beyond my level of understanding and expertise. Therefore, I will as always focus on what I know from my own experience and understanding.
Any square that is activated is an energy that generates lot of pressure to make sure that action is taken. In this square, I see an opportunity and right timing (Capricorn) to release and let go of (Pluto) of old karmic (Capricorn) holdings that may have been with us for many lifetimes.
This requires a letting go of the existing structures in our lives, that are repressive and oppressive and that feel like they are exercising a tremendous amount of power and control over us. The following may not be easy to hear and accept. The amount of control and oppression we experience from others, matches the degree, that we usually unconsciously allow. This energy could be very detrimental to us if we do not heed the trigger and clean up our own inner houses.
We are being challenged towards self-discovery and liberation through our own transformation. That is all I know, all I can really hold firm and real is that when we do the inner work and transform, others and society stop being an issue for us. I am not claiming that this is easy, far from it. However, the potential of growth and transformation is equally great.
This potent energy can also activate a dysfunctional Aries, that can show up as wanting to go into battle or war with others, the classroom bully, insensitive, selfish, self-centred, aggressive and dominating.
Please remember the Aries/Libra polarity and what we see in another is always a reflection of our own fears, judgments and stuff related to us. This is how human beings learn and grow personally and spiritually. If this mirror mechanism did not exist then there would be no way to see ourselves and there would be no avenue for growth. I find this mirror to be quite remarkable and extremely valuable; even at the times when I am being stubborn and I do not want to see it. It’s important to accept this as a part of us without judgment, as all of us go through times of resistance and inaction.
In the same breath, if at this New Moon in Aries, you are feeling the impulse to take action, then please do so. As further undue pain is created through not following up on urges that energise us and make us feel alive and awake even if the impulse is momentary.
The South Node of the Moon is connected to the Moon as well as connected to our immediate family, the family of man, our heritage and karma that we have brought in from other lives. Any one or all of these subjects could be activated at this time and show their ugly face so that we can heal them. Again there is a strong reminder to not dump our dense toxic energy (Pluto) and our anger (Aries) or domination (Aries) onto our families and significant others including animals, nature or anyone that we come across in our lives.
I see the following as a sacred gift; Aries gives all of us permission to see and act upon what is most important to us in our lives. This action will end up serving us on a personal level and in our intimate relationships. Further, this positively energised frequency will ripple out globally. And then we can all come alive and rejoice! I invite you to create that energy now, no matter what you are doing or how you are feeling; take some positive action now and that will ripple out to others around you.
If you have access to your birthchart, I invite you to physically place on a printed copy of your birthchart exactly where this New Moon in Aries sits and this way see what area of life it activates. Also, this way you can see if it sits on any points or angles (especially the Ascendant/Descendant and Midheaven/Imum Coeli/Lower Heaven) in your birthchart and/or if it makes any significant aspects.
Then ask yourself questions: How best can this powerful energy be utilised in this part of life for me personally?
What action can I take?
What action can I take that will uplift me (Aries) and others (Libra) in a positive way?
The individuals that have a 13-to-17 degree (orb) in cardinal signs of either Capricorn/Cancer and/or Aries/Libra in their birthcharts will feel this New Moon’s energy more than other people.
