Ladies and Gents, we have a Full Moon in Libra. At any Full Moon the Moon and Sun sit in total opposition to each other. What this means is that they are both in the same number of degrees and minutes but they are in opposing signs. In the lead up to the Full Moon there is a rising in tension created by the two signs involved.
This tension is cosmically designed to activate and potentially allow a release of any emotions that are being brought to the surface to be felt. Full Moons tend bring forth into our awareness what has been hidden, in order to bring the unseen into the new light of consciousness. Sometimes these new understandings may feel a little challenging. We will always move through them in time. Nothing lasts forever. It only stays long enough until we learn the new teaching, then it transforms into feeling good.
This time we have the Sun in Aries and Moon in Libra. What could this mean?
The sign of Libra rules our relationships with our significant other. This includes our dog, furniture as well as our car. You get the picture; Libra likes to help us through the eyes of any of our relationships that we have in our lives. Especially those that fire (Aries) our own emotions within. Then it’s up to us to decide (libra) to see ourselves as that magnificent mirror through the eyes of the other. This mirror can only be fully seen and healed when we view it lovingly. This takes time to get there.
Healthy Libra is good at seeing both sides of the picture, as she loves to come back into balance, equilibrium and love. Planet Venus rules the sign of Libra and she is often referred to as the planet of love. Libra can be slow in making a decision, as she likes to weigh-up every possible scenario before she makes her final decision. She needs her opposite Aries to have the confidence to act.
We have planet Pluto in the sign of Capricorn squaring meaning creating a hard aspect to this Full Moon. A hard aspect creates tension and stress to both the Moon in Libra and Sun in Aries. Pluto will be asking: How balanced and loving is the power that is being used?
Whatever sign that Pluto travels through he tends to reveal the shadow of that sign. The sign of Capricorn rules our physical concrete structure of control. The control is driven by fear. This could be fear of losing control of other people’s money (Pluto). Sadly, to use as a form of power abuse. Feeling powerful in this way is harmful for all parties and cannot be sustained. It usually reaches a level of extreme intensity before anyone takes notice.
Pluto loves to work in extremes. Pluto triggers are not easily missed. The intensity can be lifted with Pluto’s help. Nothing is brought to our awareness that we’re not ready to shift. We are lucky to have Pluto, as he is only planet that has the power to transform into our light body.
The sign of Libra can act like the calm counsellor that brings us peace. Libra seeks inner peace and can at times compromise self and please others, in order to have her fundamental needs met. We can use Libra and Venus to grow in self-love.
With Libra’s help we can begin to examine and enquire within ourselves the times that we feel out of balance, what gives us peace, harmony and tranquillity. Possible questions could be: What makes me feel loved? Then go out and give it to yourself.
What action or situation cultivates peace, harmony and a sense of balance within me?
When we play our Libra game dysfunctionally, we can have issues with our adrenals, bladder or kidneys. We could be visiting the bathroom too frequently to urinate. This could be a sign that we are feeling uneasy in a relationship. Possibly, pleasing too much and getting ‘pissed off’ about it.
The individuals that have 23 to 29 degrees in the cardinal signs of either Libra/Aries, Capricorn/Cancer in their natal charts will feel this New Moon’s energy more than other people.
