I am wishing another additional Happy Birthday to our family loving Cancerians. I hope that you know just how much your contribution to humanity is appreciated and cherished by everyone. I wonder if you feel your special personal connection with the Moon, considering that our Moon rules the sign of Cancer. The Moon relates to our Mother archetype and Capricorn to our Father.
Gorgeous Readers, we have a Full Moon in Capricorn and this time it is a Partial Lunar Eclipse. Like at any Full Moon, we have the Sun and Moon exactly opposite each other in opposing signs and this time we are playing with and balancing Cancer and Capricorn energies. If you require more information on the Cancer polarity, then please refer to the New Moon in Cancer edition or visit my website.
Any Full Moon signifies a culmination of energy built up from the New Moon and it is this build-up that requires releasing. This Full Moon in Capricorn is asking us to let go of any foolish ideas and begin making sensible decisions. Also, it’s time to pay attention to our personal timing and following through on our commitments. As it is time to dedicate ourselves towards achieving our own accomplishments that we have set for ourselves.
The description above represents Capricorn/Saturn characteristics. The planet Saturn rules Capricorn and is up in the heavens at this time in its own sign of Capricorn. This means that Saturn is happy and comfortable being in this energy that is intrinsically him. Globally, Saturn is guiding us all, to step up into the functional qualities of Capricorn. Saturn wants us to become responsible for self and for all creations. He wants us to set goals and to follow them through. Essentially, Saturn wants us to find our own mountain of success to climb and basically ‘grow up’ into maturity and into becoming our own authority figure, in the big wide world.
I am learning that Eclipses leave a six-month impact on us whereas; New Moon and Full Moon leave a month long impact. It is a special time in human history and we are all consciously or unconsciously, urged one way or another to clean-up our own inner dysfunction, take responsibility for it and move up that spiritual ladder where it surprisingly, feels good.
This Full Moon is conjunct Pluto, this means that these two planetary bodies are sitting closely next to each other in blended power. This conjunction may bring about deep purging of the old in order to allow this transformation that Pluto in Capricorn wants for every human being on this planet, to occur. I keep reminding us all, how these planetary configurations up in the heavens are not set up just by chance, it’s a Divine Design.
As mentioned above, what this means is that humanity in general is ready to move up the vibrational ladder into Higher Living where we feel internally fulfilled. Pluto in Capricorn requires a letting go of any structures that are built on shaky ground and that create restriction and limitation in our practical lives. These can feel like burdens weighing us down, keeping us restricted and not serving our Highest Good. Saturn wants us to apply discipline in the areas of life that we desire to achieve and plan, structure and restructure our goals on an ongoing bases, going over them daily. This can be quite a task for some people.
Capricorn/Saturn is known as the Lord of Karma and The Lord of Time. Therefore, I invite you to examine your own challenges with time. Whether, you are the one that needs to be super early everywhere to retain your sense of control and composure or you find yourself consistently, running late to any or all occasions. You may find as a consequence, you unconsciously believing being casual with time, equals a healthy relationship with it.
Please know that these two alternatives are based on the same issue with time, as they are merely two sides of the same coin and same concern. Alternatively, you may be someone that uses time effectively and efficiently without feeling stress or burden. We live in a society that is structured around time and this can feel like a fear or a burden to many. Saturn says, it's time to let go of these restrictions.
On a personal level, Saturn keeps perfect timing, as far as our spiritual growth is concerned. We need to have reached a certain level of maturity before we are ready to take on more responsibility. This theme shows up for us around the age of (28-30), when we experience our first level of Saturn maturity.
Saturn can feel hard and unfeeling, demanding, limited, controlling, fearful, guilt driven and even prestige seeking in the dysfunctional and this way can feel like the hardest taskmaster. However; without Saturn we would not have the opportunity to be able to set boundaries that feel good, to structure ourselves and our life, be practical, grounded, productive, professional and disciplined in our own authority.
I know that many of us resist Capricorn growth towards success, as there is a lot of fear attached to it. As mentioned, Capricorn/Saturn governs our career and our Divine Mission in life and that for obvious reasons, can feel like a big task. It helps to remind ourselves that Saturn wants us to succeed, one step at a time. Take these steps in a sure-footed manner, similar to the mountain goat. Then this way the climb becomes manageable. This may even end up feeling pleasant, as we look down and see our past achievements.
Please feel free to make up your own questions that resonate best with you personally.
Possible Capricorn/Saturn questions to ask self:
How can I work to create opportunities for myself to create the greatest amount of stability for myself?
How can I work in a practical sense here on planet Earth while being true to my true nature?
How can I make my career an extension of who I am and what I would like to mature into?
Or
What karmic holdings am I ready to let go of, which no longer serve my highest good?
In order to help me move, up that Capricorn mountaintop.
Capricorn is earth, therefore; it represents stability and loves being grounded in this world practically. At this Full Moon it is a perfect time to allow this sense of grounding in our being.
Capricorn quality is Cardinal, (Aries/Libra, Cancer/Capricorn), which represents initiative and assertiveness. Cardinal signs require taking action for self in the areas of life where these four signs/energies are. Ashtara describes in her (Your Recipe for Empowerment, Volume One) that, if your Sun is in the cardinal sign, then you need to utilise these cardinal qualities in order for your life and career to work well.
Cancer/Capricorn polarities mark the solstices and the definition of solstice (from Google) is the time when the sun reaches its highest or lowest point at noon, resulting in the shortest and longest days of the year. The longest day of the year is an example of the summer solstice.
I invite you to see where you have Saturn placed in your birth chart and see for yourself what sign he is in and the house placement that Saturn is in, as that will reveal the area of life related to your karmic lesson.
Those people that have the four Cardinal signs of (Cancer/Capricorn or Aries/Libra), anywhere from 21 to 27 degrees in their birth chart will be affected by this Partial Eclipse Full Moon in Capricorn energy, more than others.
If you can please print your birth chart and physically place this Full Moon then it will help you see if it sits on any points or angles (especially the Ascendant/Descendant and Midheaven/Imum Coeli/Lower Heaven) in your chart and/or if it makes any significant aspects.
As always, it is my experience that we can miss things if we simply look at our charts without actually placing the sign and the degrees of the Moon placement on a printed copy of our charts. I hope that this serves you.
